CREST™, Premier Online Educational Portal for Colorectal Surgeons, Launched on ASCRS Website

ColoRectal Educational Systems TemplateColoRectal Educational Systems Template, commonly known as CREST™, the premier online educational portal for physicians interested in colorectal surgery, launched on the Society’s website, www.fascrs.org. CREST™ aims to assist health care providers achieve high-quality patient care by providing an interactive educational venue regarding all aspects of colorectal disease.

Covering the six “pillars” of colorectal disease: anorectal, colorectal and anal malignancy, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders, and endoscopy – CREST™ provides a robust curriculum in support of the ASCRS mission. Each CREST™ module is categorized by topic and contains a combination of ASCRS Textbook chapters, narrated slide presentations, Core Subject material, ASCRS Practice Parameters (Clinical Practice Guidelines), review questions, select lecture videos from recent ASCRS Annual Meetings, Diseases of the Colon and Rectum journal articles and other elements from the ASCRS image and video libraries.

A tutorial video is now available online demonstrating how to login and use the CREST™ Online Learning Center.

ASCRS Members enjoy full access to all CREST™ modules by logging in to their CREST™ account through their Member Profile page. On your Member Profile page, click on the CREST™ Online Learning Center link found at the top of the page under the header “My ASCRS Links”.

Once members are in the Online Learning Center, they will be able to track their progress within each module and purchase modules for CME credit. For details explaining how to log in to the CREST™ Online Learning Center download the instruction sheet.
