The International Council of Coloproctology, together with ASCRS, will provide a forum during the Vancouver meeting, May 14-18, 2011, to showcase the work of any members of ICCP and/or ASCRS who have participated in Volunteering and Outreach in countries in which needs exist, by assisting with colorectal surgical services.

In addition, ICCP has been active in the promotion and development of Bowel Cancer Awareness Programs in ICCP member countries.

To promote awareness and expansion of these activities, ICCP will have a booth at the ASCRS Annual Meeting with information to be made available and video clips to be shown of work being done internationally.

Dr. Mark Helbraun, Hackensack, NJ, has been most active in Vietnam, and a number of other members are known to have participated in Outreach Programs in various countries.

If you have had such experiences, know of opportunities to participate, are aware of centers of need or have any relevant information, brochures or videos that you would like to display and share at the Annual Meeting please let us know as soon as possible. Your personal attendance at the booth would also be encouraged and most welcome.

Please contact or send any material for demonstration, display or distribution to Julie Weldon at ASCRS, 85 W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 or contact her by email julieweldon@fascrs.org for any assistance you may require.

Thank you for your interest and potential involvement.
