Recent ASCRS Executive Council actions include:

• Request that the Research Foundation designate a Limited Project Grant (LPG) in memory of Dr. Norman D. Nigro, who died last year. Applicants submitting an LPG application in the area of chemo-radiotherapy for anal or rectal carcinoma or anal carcinoma would be eligible for the award.

• Invite Dr. Robin S. McLeod, Toronto, ON, Canada, to present the Rupert B. Turnbull, MD, Lectureship at the Australasian Tripartite Meeting in 2011. Council requested that Dr. McLeod present Colorectal Surgery in the Age of Evidence Based Medicine.

• Agreed to encourage all ASCRS members to add links from their Websites to the ASCRS Website, www.fascrs.org.
