The ASCRS Executive Council has approved the appointment of seven members to participate in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) study sections to review grant applications.

To increase the visibility of the ASCRS and its Research Foundation within the NIH, and to foster the potential for co-granting opportunities, ASCRS has been participating actively in the NIH review process.

Appointed to the NIH study sections are Drs. James W. Fleshman, St. Louis, MO, Julio Garcia-Aguilar, Duarte, CA, José G. Guillem, New York, NY, Emina Hui-na Huang, Gainesville, FL, Walter A. Koltun, Hershey, PA, Heidi Nelson, Rochester, MN, and Lisa S. Poritz, Hershey, PA.
